When you read a Crazy Crab blog post, you’re probably hearing from Troy Leacock, the Caymanian entrepreneur at the helm of Crazy Crab Private Boat Charters. With a lifelong love of the sea and Cayman’s unique heritage, Troy brings together his passions for marine conservation, sustainable tourism, and local culture to create authentic island experiences for every guest.

As owner of Crazy Crab Private Boat Charters, Troy is hands-on in shaping charters that showcase the best of Grand Cayman: Stingray City, Starfish Point, Bioluminescent Bay, guided snorkeling, and waterside dining experiences. Under his leadership, Crazy Crab has become known for its two-guide per boat approach, personalized itineraries, and family-friendly adventures that go beyond the standard group tour.

Beyond the boats, Troy has been a strong advocate for the Cayman Islands tourism industry. He has served in multiple leadership roles with the Cayman Islands Tourism Association (CITA) — first as Watersports Sector Director, then as Vice President, and later as President for two years. In each role, Troy championed initiatives to strengthen Caymanian involvement in tourism, highlight Cayman’s unique culture, and protect the delicate balance of marine life. His work on the Stingray Feeding & Interaction Program and his long-standing support for the creation and protection of Cayman’s Marine Parks reflect his commitment to keeping Cayman’s waters safe and vibrant for future generations.

Troy’s creativity doesn’t stop at the shoreline. With roots in the arts and culture community, he has contributed to media, theatre, and cultural initiatives that celebrate Cayman’s voice on the local and international stage. For him, tourism isn’t just about activities — it’s about connecting visitors to the soul of Cayman through its people, its environment, and its stories.

When he’s not guiding Crazy Crab guests on the water or advocating for sustainable tourism, you’ll often find Troy supporting local charity projects, enjoying live Caymanian music, or sharing island history with guests who want to dig a little deeper into what makes Cayman special.
